Closet Sci-Fi Nerd: - recent exchanges with a Jamble partner:

My first word in the game was DUNE - thus the following comment -

(Me) Mouadib! Mouadib! Let the spices flow! and if you've never read the Dune series by Frank Herbert you have no idea what I'm talking about and think I'm raving.

(Me) LOL!!! ours too. We just watched all the DVD's again, and have every book in the series including the ones his son wrote...and I just bid on a set of the Dune books on tape off ebay.

(Burleymon) my mom got me started when i was young. i've always been a fan of sci fi and fantasy novels

(Me) I don't really get into a lot of sci-fi and fantasy, but I read the first Dune book because I had nothing to read one day and that was the only book in the house I hadn't read... I got hooked!

(Burleymon) my mother loved Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, she got me hooked when I was in Elementary school!

(Me) yep, I enjoyed them too... but never got to see the movie when it came out. i just realized for someone who says she doesn't like scifi and fantasy i sure read a lot of it...and also got into the Star Wars movies.

(Burleymon) so you are a closet scifi nerd!!

my entire family has been scifi nerds, especially when the whole family would watch the original star trek!!

(Me)LOL!!! Yeah, I guess I am a closet sci-fi nerd. Never thought of it that way. Guess I'm coming out of the closet.
