In Memoriam - Princess LingLing: Last week our little Balinese cat stopped eating. She was a tiny cat to begin with and within a short time dropped from 6 pounds to just over 4 pounds. At first the vet thought it was her liver, but after a lot of testing discovered she was in renal failure and it was going fast. We tried hydrating her for a week and that helped some, but she still refused to eat. I could get her to eat a little once in awhile, but not enough to sustain her. So, we brought her home Thursday and I tried to feed her and give her the anti-biotics. Thursday night and Friday morning she drank a little of the Rebound (the liquid diet), but by that afternoon she decided she wanted no more. If I tried to feed her or give her the medicine she just lay there and moaned. It was time to give up and let the poor thing go. So, last night I sat on the floor and she laid on my chest for a good hour or more, then went to the bed I had made up for her and never moved again. This morning I took her to the vets and they ended it for her. While we will miss her we will also have a lot of great memories and fun stories to tell about her. Like how this little tiny cat could out eat even the cats twice her weight when it came to chicken.
